Coors Banquet Beer
Featured Beer of the Month
For over a century, Coors Banquet was Coors. Founded in 1873, it was nicknamed “Banquet Beer” by Clear Creek Canyon miners, who'd drink it in banquet halls or huge banquet tents when there were no halls. The name didn't become official until 1937. After the mining boom ended — and after 17 long, dry years of Prohibition in Colorado — Coors started using the name “Banquet” to toast the miners who were some of its very first customers.
