Colorado Beer Distributors Celebrate Craft Beer Week

DENVER – Colorado’s Beer Distributors are celebrating the excitement that new, entrepreneurial brewers bring to the beer industry and consumers across the country during American Craft Beer Week, May 16-22, 2016. During the week, the culture and contributions of local breweries across Colorado and the United States will be highlighted.

“Colorado craft brewers continue to provide a significant contribution to the industry and our local economy,” said Steve Findley, Executive Director of the Colorado Beer Distributors Association.  “And, our members are proud be part of this success due in large part to our independent distribution system that allows access to market for brewers of all sizes.”

Colorado brewers enjoyed record growth in 2015, seeing a 178 percent increase in the number of breweries sine 2009.  According to the Colorado Brewers Guild, there are 309 licensed breweries in the state, including 123 brewpubs and 186 manufacturing breweries. Beer distributors provide value to these brewers by helping them reach the widest network of retailers possible, and giving Colorado beer drinkers the greatest variety and choice in the process.
